Edgewood Girls Basketball Opens Season with Strong Home Victory
The Edgewood Lady Cougars kicked off their home opener in impressive fashion Friday night, November 21, with a decisive performance against the Middletown Middies. Senior standout Ella Allen led the way, recording a dominant double-double that included 18 points, 11 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 blocks.
Sophomore Breanna Leal made a strong impact as well, contributing 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals, helping Edgewood control both ends of the floor throughout the game.
The Lady Cougars look to carry their momentum into next week as they prepare to host the Eaton Eagles on Tuesday, November 25. JV action will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by the varsity matchup at 7:15 p.m. See you there!
