Edgewood Wrestlers Qualify for State Tournament

Edgewood High School will be represented at the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Tournament by junior Carter Canaan and freshman Easton Ballinger, who both qualified after strong performances at the district tournament.

Canaan, a junior, continued his impressive season by battling through a competitive bracket to earn his spot at state. Ballinger, a freshman, also secured qualification, showcasing his talent and determination in his first postseason run.

Both wrestlers will compete at the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament March 13–16, where they will represent Edgewood against the top wrestlers from across the state.

Qualifying for the state tournament is one of the highest achievements in Ohio high school wrestling, and both athletes have demonstrated the hard work, dedication, and perseverance required to reach this level. The Edgewood community will be cheering them on as they compete on the state stage. 🤼‍♂️
